ASCONA STREET MARKET

This is the most visited open-air market in Locarno to immerse in local ticinese culture.It is located in Piazza Grande and its held every Thursday throughout the year from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Here you can buy goods of any kind from groceries, flowers, local products and crafts (ceramics, textile, leather and footwear).
If all that shopping is making you hungry, don’t worry! There are many restaurants and food vendors  spread all over the place, selling fresh juices,fried snacks, authentic swiss cuisine, and more where you can rest after some good shopping in the market.
